The Niall McCabe Band recorded our 2nd studio album over two nights in The Village Hall vintage shop in Cork City. We decided to do a location recording for this album and so we rented the space and brought in the studio. We recorded the whole album in two evenings in front of an audience, which was an interesting experience and very different to any other recording session that I had done previously. The room sounded great and I think the tracks were sounding really good. I used my Sakae Trilogy Series kit for all of this session. I had a bunch of snares with me for various tracks - Ludwig Supersensitive 14x6.5, Taye Wood Hoop 14x7, Ludwig Acrolite 14x5, Pearl Omar Hakim Signature Series 13x5, Old Premier Marching Snare 14x9. I brought two bags of cymbals two which I won't itemise cause it will take too long. The kit sounded amazing with thanks to the engineer and fellow drummer Brendan Fennessey.  Looking forward to hearing the results now!
